Frisbee Golf

Frisbee golf in the Queenstown Gardens is a popular pass time.

Frisbee golf is played much like golf, with similar rules, tee-off areas and targets.  There are 18 holes and frisbees are thrown at targets, usually trees or chain baskets.

Every throw counts!  Frisbees, maps, scorecards and rules are available at local sports stores.

The game has been played in the Queenstown Gardens since the early 1980's.  In 1996 this became the first permanently marked course in New Zealand.

Please respect other people using the gardens and avoid damage to trees and gardens.

Safety reminder

Never throw if there is a chance someone may get hit.  Either wait for people to move, guard them, choose an alternative target or play that hole later.  If there is even a small chance your frisbee might hit someone, call out a warning and attract their attention.

The course is monitered daily by the Queenstown Tennis Club.
