There are currently no water restrictions in place in the Queenstown Lakes District.

Huge growth in the Queenstown Lakes District has seen the public water supply put under pressure during the summer months, particularly in the Lake Hayes area.

From time to time, the Council needs to implement water restrictions to make sure that everyone gets their fair share of water.  You will find information about what water restrictions are in place on this website.
