ICE Advice
You may not be able to speak for yourself after an accident. Your cell phone could be your lifeline.
ICE means In Case of Emergency, and is a world recognised way to make sure your next of kin are contacted if you have been in an accident.
How to adopt the ICE advice
- Decide who you would like contacted if you are in an accident, ie next of kin or close friend.
- Add their details as an entry in your cell phone phonebook.
- Simply put the acronym ICE in front of the names
- If there is more than one, use ICE1, ICE 2 and so on.
By adopting this advice, your cell phone may help emergency services workers to quickly contact a relative or friend; vital in a life or death situation.
