Lakeview Project

Renewed interest in Lakeview has resulted in Council taking another look at the project. 

 Background

The proposed development of 3.96ha of Council-owned freehold land was approved in 2004.  The project progressed with an expressions of interest process and in October 2008, the Council confirmed a preferred participant.

Unfortunately the economic crises took over and the company was not able to provide the required financial covenants, causing the Council to terminate the preferred participant agreement.

Following renewed interest in the site, Council is now considering a revised set of draft objectives for Lakeview and is seeking public feedback on them.
