Carols for Christmas
Traditional Christmas Carol singing will take place across the Queenstown Lakes District this weekend.
In Queenstown this year there will be a special reading of Dr Seuss' The Grinch who stole Christmas., featuring Mayor Clive Geddes and of course a special guest appearance will be made by the Grinch.
Traditional carol singing will feature all the festive season favourites. A carol sheet is available in this week's Mirror.
The Queenstown Carols will be held this Saturday at the Queenstown Memorial Hall from 5pm to 7.30pm. People are also invited to bring along a can or packet of dry goods as a donation to Happiness House.
The carol service in Arrowtown will be held this Sunday from 7pm to 9pm at the Arrowtown Athenaeum Hall.
The service in Wanaka will be held on Saturday also, down on the Lake Wanaka waterfront, beginning 7.30pm.
All three services are free to the community.
