Draft QLDC Long Term Plan (10-Year-Plan) 2012/22

The draft 2012 10-Year-Plan is now available for public comment.

This notice, pursuant to Sections 83, 84, and 93 of the Local Government Act 2002 formally invites submissions on the Council’s draft 10-Year-Plan for the period commencing 1 July 2012.

In addition to the draft 10-Year-Plan, Council is concurrently undertaking consultation in regard to the following additional matters:

  • statement of proposal to amend the Policy on Development Contributions (in respect of revised contributions and a proposed change to the assessment process)
  • statement of proposal to amend the Liability Management Policy and Investment (in respect of proposed Council membership of the Local Government Funding Agency (LGFA) as a guaranteeing  local authority)

Copies of the draft plan (including the statements of proposal referred to above) are available from Council offices at, Gorge Road, Queenstown and Ardmore Street, Wanaka. It can also be viewed at Council Libraries in Queenstown, Wanaka, Arrowtown, Kingston, Glenorchy, Makarora and Hawea.

The draft is also available on the Council website or by direct request to the Council.

A summary of the draft plan, including submission form, will be distributed to all householders as an insert in newspapers “The (Queenstown) Mirror” and “Wanaka Sun” during the week commencing April 16, 2012. The summary will also be available from the outlets above from the same date and on the Council website.

Submissions on the draft 10-Year-Plan will close at 12.00 pm on Monday, May 7, 2012. These will be heard by the Council on May 16 and 17, 2012. It is intended the 10-Year-Plan will be adopted at the full Council meeting on Tuesday, June 26, 2012.
