Council has identified that anomalies have occurred in the application of the rates adopted for the current financial year. As a consequence, Council is proposing to replace the rates already set with new rates that correct most of the anomalies. There is no change to the overall amount of money that Council will receive as a result of these changes. The changes rebalance the imposition of rates amongst properties in the district.
Council has adopted a draft proposal for consultation that sets out the details of the proposed changes.
