Public Transport

Public transport takes away the stress of driving and finding a carpark.

On 20 November 2017 a new and improved bus system will launch in Queenstown.

The new service will offer frequent, reliable and affordable buses with a flat $2 fare for all journeys within the network (with the purchase of a multi-trip Go Card). This service will be launched in partnership with Otago Regional Council and the New Zealand Transport Agency.

The service will launch with four routes, with all passing via the Frankton bus hub. The four confirmed routes are:

  • Arrowtown to Arthurs Point (via Frankton)
  • Fernhill to Remarkables Park
  • Kelvin Heights to Frankton Flats
  • Lake Hayes Estate to Jacks Point

Confirmed schedules and route maps are currently in production and will be circulated to households and displayed on bus stops when they have been finalised.

The Otago Regional Council’s initial scheduling information is available here
