Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

Applicants for roles considered safety sensitive (where the safety sensitive aspect makes up at least 50% of the role on any given working day) Roles advertised after Monday 26 May 2014 will be required to undergo a drug and alcohol screening test before being employed or engaged.  If an applicant fails the test, he/she may not be considered for appointment or, if the applicant has already been appointed, the employment/engagement may be cancelled or terminated. 

 

Health and Safety Advisor

The Health and Safety Advisor role is responsible for working closely with Managers and the Health and Safety Committee to drive the continuous improvements of the QLDC's health, safety & wellbeing systems, and ensuring safety culture becomes ingrained at QLDC.

Monitoring and Enforcement Officer

Parking Control Officer

The Parking Control Officer undertakes daily regular patrols to ensure parking is within designated areas for no longer than permitted to enable the safe and smooth flow of traffic through the administration and enforcement of Queenstown Lakes District Council's Traffic and Parking Bylaw and other relevant legislation.
