Business supports our environment and community

One of our areas of focus is to encourage businesses to work together on local and regional issues important to them and our community. As well as this, we support events that showcase our part of the world and add to what makes our district a great place to live in.

Supporting events and the arts

As part of the Economic Development strategy, we support a balanced portfolio of community, sporting and cultural events.  A dedicated events team and contestable fund is available to support and promote growth in events and the arts.

Key projects

Collaboration with other regions

A regional project currently underway involves understanding what labour resources will be needed to support the booming construction industry - not only in the short term but for the future.
