Easy Ways to Compost - Queenstown
This free Queenstown workshop will help you feed your soil and reduce your rubbish by composting your garden and kitchen waste.
Have you heard of Bokashi composting and want to know how it works? Have you fried, frosted or otherwise scared off the worms in your worm farm? Is your compost heap doing more decom-ponging than decomposing? Then this is the workshop for you!
Whether you want to get started or get your composting system working better, you'll leave with the practical knowledge you need to make excellent compost for your garden.
Dr Compost, aka Ben Elms, has been gardening and composting locally for over 20 years. He's made many mistakes, and learnt lots of lessons along the way which he enjoys sharing in his entertaining workshops. Ben will do his best to answer all your questions during, or after, the workshop.
The Dr Compost home-composting project is funded by Queenstown Lakes District Council and delivered by Wastebusters. By composting, you will reduce the organic waste going to landfill, where it can release methane, a harmful climate change gas.
