Glenorchy Road Update 8am

Further assessment of the slip site will be undertaken this morning to establish if a remaining ledge of rock is now stable.

The road, which was damaged from the blow of yesterday's slip, will also be assessed.

It is unlikely the road will be reopened before noon. An update will be posted once the road has been reopended.

Free transport is available to Glenorchy residents via Lake Wakatipu this morning.

To Glenorchy:

Buses will leave the Queenstown CBD to Wilsons Bay at 8.30am, 9.30am
A water taxi will then leave from Wilsons Bay to Rats Point at 9am, 10am
A further bus leaves from Rats Point to Glenorchy Holiday Park at 9.30am, 10.30am

To Queenstown:

Buses will leave the Glenorchy Holiday Park to Rats Point at 9am, 10am
A water taxi will then leave from Rats Point to Wilsons Bay at 9.30am, 10.30am
A further bus leaves from Wilsons Bay to the Queenstown CBD at 10am, 11am
