Residential Application
The Building Act 2004 can be complex especially when considered with other legalisation. We are here to help you through the building consent process.
We recommend that you engage an experienced professional (e.g. an architect or draughtsperson) to help with design work, drawings, specifications and documentation before applying for a building consent.
Required Documents
These documents must be submitted with your building consent for a residential project;
- Form 2 Building Consent Application (See our information sheet IS 3.2 for assistance)
- AF CALC Building Consent Initial Fee Calculator (Note: Building work values should be GST inclusive. Information must align with Form 2 including floor areas and value of work)
- CS 7.2 R Residential Agreement to Provide a Producer Statement [WORD]
OR - CS 7.2 R Residential Agreement to Provide a Producer Statement [PDF]
- Proof of ownership (One of the following: Record/Certificate of Title, Rates Account, Sale and Purchase agreement or Lease agreement.)
- Letter from the owner appointing agent
