A boil water is in place for businesses and properties across Queenstown following a number of confirmed local cases of illness caused by the protozoa, cryptosporidium. This affects all properties serviced by the Council’s Queenstown supply including Frankton, Quail Rise and Tucker Beach Rd, Kelvin Heights and Hanley’s Farm. Read more here.

Walking Basketball

Come and give Walking Basketball a go!

Walking Basketball at Wānaka Recreation Centre is a great way to get moving, learn new skills and have a blast with friends. It involves playing basketball, but running is not allowed! One heel must be on the ground at all times.

  • It’s great for new players, older players, injured players and anyone looking for a simplified version of Basketball.
