Live and Work here

The Queenstown Lakes District is a melting pot of cultures made up of bustling Queenstown, laid back Wanaka, historic Arrowtown, and all of the small communities in between.

It's always an exciting but somewhat daunting challenge moving to a new place.  We've pulled together a range of resources that might help.

Community Connect

Community Connect can help you find out what's happening in your community. Our online directory is a comprehensive list of all community services, clubs, and groups existing within the Queenstown Lakes District.

Whether you're a newcomer, visitor or someone planning to move here, Community Connect will help you settle in and meet other like-minded people.  It also offers access to our local Events Calendar.

Immigration advice

If you need immigration advice, we recommend heading to the Immigration New Zealand website www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas

Another option is to drop by Citizens Advice Bureau in Queenstown or Community Networks Wanaka.  These groups provide free and confidential advice to everyone. Both agencies are a one-stop-hub, designed to empower you with the information, options and support that suits your needs.
