Wanaka Primary and Holy Family Schools Travel Plan
Wanaka Primary and Holy Family Schools have been implementing a school travel plan since late 2009, early 2010 in conjunction with each other and the Council.
The aim of the programme is to increase safe travel choices for children and for the Council to work with the school community to address any road safety issues which come out of this process.
Because the Wanaka Primary School was moving from its existing Tenby Street site, to its new location in Ironside Drive in September 2010, a pro-active approach was taken to encourage travel behaviour change at its new site.
