Wakatipu Way to Go
The journeys that you make every day in and around Queenstown and the wider Wakatipu should be safe, easy, support your business and help you get the most out of life.
Queenstown Lakes District Council, the New Zealand Transport Agency and Otago Regional Council are partnering to develop this vision.
A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed by all three parties who are committed to working together to provide forward-thinking solutions to create a safe and well-connected transport network.
The group is named Wakatipu Way to Go. You'll start to see and hear more about this group as work progresses.
Community engagement underway! Join in and help shape a future transport network
Planning an effective network requires insights and ideas from the people who use it every day. Whether you’re a cyclist, a pedestrian, motorist or public transport user, you’ll have slightly different perspectives. Everything you tell us will have value and together we can build a network for the future that we will be proud of.
We invite you to head over to the Let's Talk site and read through the material. There's a lot to think about so we have brought our work together into one place, so that you can see what we are up to and participate.
Your feedback is essential to the right decisions being made, so please familiarise yourself with the information here and make time to complete the survey.
Click here to read more and have your say. Feedback closes on 22 April.
