Community Fund
The Community Fund supports local initiatives that enhance community wellbeing, resilience, and connectedness in the Queenstown Lakes District. Funding is available for not-for-profit groups, charities, and community organisations delivering projects that align with community priorities. This fund aims to empower local groups to make a meaningful impact through events, services, and initiatives that benefit the wider community

The 2026-2027 Community Fund has a total pool of $180,000, reflecting the funding allocation set in the QLDC Annual Plan.
Applications for this funding round will be open 1-30 April 2026 through the SmartyGrants platform

The 2025-2026 Community Fund closed for applications on 30 April 2025.
Applicants had the optional opportunity to present their application to elected members on 14 May in Wānaka and 15 May in Queenstown. Councillors reviewed applications in May, with final decisions made by Full Council on 26 June 2025. Applicants will be notified of the outcome in July.
