Draft Economic Diversification Plan – New pathways to a thriving future 

The Economic Futures team has been working closely with local businesses and industry experts to develop this draft plan. It has been created with local communities and businesses, for future generations. New niches and specialisms

Identifying potential niche industries and supporting them to grow is a key part of diversifying the economy. One example is technology for tourism – technology that can be used to improve productivity, customer experience, and the product offering. In May 2024, our district will host the inaugural Host-Tech expo, showcasing local tourism tech exhibitors.
