	NZTA closures NZTA is making essential pre-winter repairs to the deck of the Kawarau Bridge this week. Expect 5 minute delays from Wed 22 May to Friday 24 May between 9am and 4pm. There will also be a night time closure between 11pm and 6am on Monday 27 May, weather permitting. The work should give a smoother, less noisy ride. The foot bridge will remain open throughout the work period. The road to Milford Sound at the Homer Tunnel is also closed for 10-15 days from Thursday 23 May to allow emergency rock removal work to take place. >>Read the press release here
