2024 ANZAC Day services in Queenstown Lakes
ANZAC Day services are set to be held across the district on Thursday 25 April.
ANZAC Day services are set to be held across the district on Thursday 25 April. A list of services being held can be found below.
Arrowtown
-
10.00am parade from Arrowtown Hall to the Cenotaph on top of Durham Street.
-
The service at the Cenotaph starts from 10.30am.
-
If weather is wet, the service will be held inside Arrowtown Hall.
Arthurs Point
-
National Anthem and bagpipes played on Edith Cavell Bridge from 12.00pm.
-
Traffic management in place to support the service.
Glenorchy
-
Remembrance service from 9.30am at the war memorial by Glenorchy Hall.
-
Morning tea held inside the hall afterwards.
Lake Hāwea
-
Dawn service at ANZAC Peninsula on the Lake Hāwea Dam from 7.00am.
-
Community asked to arrive between 6.30-6.45am.
Queenstown
-
Dawn service at Memorial Gates located on Marine Parade from 6.30am.
-
Followed by a march to Queenstown Memorial Centre where wreaths will be laid.
Wānaka
-
Dawn service on edge of Lake Wānaka adjacent to the town centre from 7.00am, followed by a community breakfast in the Armstrong Room at Lake Wānaka Centre.

Civic service held at Lake Wānaka Centre from 9.30am, followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the Cenotaph.
