Air Rescue Trust Open Day
Learn about emergency response in the Queenstown Lakes District
Lakes District Air Rescue Trust (LDART) is hosting an open day at the Lakes Hayes Showground on Saturday, 22 March from midday to 4.00pm.
In association with St John, NZ Fire & Emergency, NZ Police and and Search & Rescue (SAR), this is an opportunity for any interested locals to find out more about our local emergency services and increase awareness of the need for ongoing community support.
On show there will be an off-road emergency vehicle, a red highway policy vehicle, a fire engine and information stand for SAR. There's also the new rescue helicopter from LDART which is now on duty 24/7, 365 days a year.
