QLDC announces launch facility closures
The district's river and lake boat ramps have been closed
Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC) wishes to advise it will be closing all boat launching facilities for lakes and rivers throughout the district from 11:59pm on Wednesday 25 March.
This is in line with the government’s COVID-19 response level rising to Level 4, which will close all non-essential businesses and restrict all non-essential travel.
While emergency services will remain on standby, it is vital people avoid using the district’s waterways.
Launching facilities will remain available for businesses providing essential services as defined by the New Zealand government and emergency services.
