Lake Street Update: 12 October 2023

Lake Street status this weekend: CLOSED

Our team is working hard to try to reach our target date of opening Lake Street on 20 October. To enable this to happen we need to ensure that the surface area on Man Street is prepared and ready for final touches next week, therefore we will not be opening Lake Street this weekend.  

Please find an update below on the works completed this week, and what we have scheduled next week.

Completed this week

• Continuing exposing and setting manhole lids ahead of the final layer of asphalt

• Footpath construction on Man Street adjacent to the Lake Street intersection

Next week (13 Oct – 20 Oct)

• Footpath construction on Man Street heading towards Thompson Street

• Pavement construction at the Lake/Man Street intersection and tie in to the road
