Outlined below are the latest notified resource consents and hearings. Also detailed on this page are the steps to follow if you would like to make a submission on one of these proposals.

Publicly notified resource consents

  • Resource consent to undertake a two-lot subdivision at 79 Riverbank Road, Wanaka, which does not comply with minimum average lot size, to establish two residential building platforms, and to breach a road boundary setback. The proposed lot sizes are as follows:

    Lot 1: 1.295 hectares

    Lot 2: 1.777 hectares

  • Undertake a five lot subdivision within the National Grid Corridor at 77A Hansen Road, Frankton - Ladies Mile Highway, Frankton, Queenstown 

  • The establishment and subdivision of 22 visitor accommodation units with associated access, earthworks, parking and landscaping at Corner Aubrey and Anderson Road, Wanaka

    (Lot 7 DP 300376)

  • Land use consent is sought to construct a series of stand-alone buildings, including a lodge for visitor accommodation for up to 24 guests, accommodation pod for the owner, together with associated lodge management buildings, infrastructure, landscape treatment, water features and meditation space at Lot 1 DP 337193, Wanaka-Mount Aspiring Road, Wanaka.

  • To alter existing “Designation No 44 Water Storage Tanks” in the Operative Queenstown Lakes District Plan (ODP) and Proposed Queenstown Lakes District Plan (PDP) by the addition of a parcel of land of approximately 1,000m2.  Works on the site include the erection of two new water tanks and the removal of four existing water tanks.

    The site is located on the on the north-western escarpment of “Bible Face”, Glenorchy and the alteration relates to existing Designation No. 44: Water Storage Tanks. The legal description of the subject land is as follows: Lot 4 DP 394250 (Identifier 377050) and Lot 202 DP 544220 (Identifier 946649).


Limited notified resource consents

Section 95B of the Resource Management Act 1991, and Section 29 of the Housing Accords and Special Housing Areas Act 2013, provides that only parties served with Limited Notifications are permitted to make a formal submission.
