Outlined below are the latest notified resource consents and hearings. Also detailed on this page are the steps to follow if you would like to make a submission on one of these proposals.

Publicly notified resource consents

  • Subdivision consent to create two vacant residential allotments that will breach minimum lot size. Proposed Lot 1 will be 1,865m2 with frontage directly onto Mount Linton Avenue. Proposed Lot 2 will have a net site area of 1,983m2 (2,136m2 gross), accessed via an access leg off Mount Linton Avenue at 25 Mount Linton Avenue, Wanaka 

  • Application under Section 88 of the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA) for a 2-lot subdivision not complying with the minimum lot areas, subdivision of a residential flat from a residential unit and for land use consent to breach setbacks at 963 Aubrey Road, Albert Town, Wanaka (Lot 2 DP 406222)

  • Combined subdivision and land use consent to create additional lots and identify a residential building platforms, as well as carry out associated earthworks and landscape mitigation. Option A involves the creation of three additional residential lots with associated platforms but requires a road stopping application to be approved, with Option B pertaining to the creation of two additional residential lots with associated platforms at 125 Hunter Road, Whakatipu Basin, Queenstown (Lot 1-2 Deposited Plan 20531 and Section 1-3 Survey Office Plan 20437, held in Record of Title OT12A/419.)

  • 1. RM201040:
    Land Use consent to upgrade an existing marina and construct associated buildings, including
    a building to be used for dining and entertaining at Walter Peak Station.

    2. RM210209:
    Subdivision consent to undertake a boundary adjustment between two lots, land use consent
    to establish four building platforms at Walter Peak Station and an application under s221 to
    cancel/change conditions of Consent Notice 7789534.3 (as varied by 10059247.1).

    The location of the above activities is at Mount Nicholas-Beach Bay Road (Lot 100 Deposited Plan 386580 and Lot 200 Deposited Plan 386580 and Section 2-4 Survey Office Plan 381091 held in Record of Title 346609) and the surface of Lake Wakatipu.


Limited notified resource consents

Section 95B of the Resource Management Act 1991, and Section 29 of the Housing Accords and Special Housing Areas Act 2013, provides that only parties served with Limited Notifications are permitted to make a formal submission.

  • Application under Section 88 of the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA) for land use consent to undertake Residential Visitor Accommodation from an existing residential unit and residential flat for up to 310 days per year, with associated setback and transport breaches at 4 Luckie Lane, Queenstown
