Upcoming closures to Frankton Track for wastewater works

Closures in place Wednesday 26 March, Wednesday 2 April, and Wednesday 9 April

QLDC Frankton Track Wastewater Works Track Closure 800Px X 800Px Mar25

Frankton Track will be temporarily closed to the public on Wednesday 26 March, Wednesday 2 April, and Wednesday 9 April, so crews can replace sections of an existing wastewater pipeline in the area.

On each date, the track will be closed from the end of Park Street in Queenstown through to Frankton Marina between 7.00am and 6.00pm, allowing for work to be carried out at three separate sites.

A detour will be in place using the footpath on Frankton Road/State Highway 6 while Frankton Track is closed.

Stop/go will also be operating on days either side of each full closure. The track will be open to pedestrians and cyclists on these days, but delays up to 10 minutes should be expected at times.

Track users are advised to take extra care while using the detour route along Frankton Road/SH6, and to plan ahead and factor in extra time on days when stop/go is operating on Frankton Track.
