Next steps
We’ll now use what the community has told us to help our playground landscape designer develop a concept design for the playground. Once the design is ready, we’ll share it here and with the Fernhill/Sunshine Bay community to make sure we’re heading in the right direction.
Who is completing the work?
Queenstown Lakes District Council has engaged a professional playground designer to develop the playground concept, informed by community feedback.
When will work start?
Construction of a new playground is likely to commence late 2026 and you’ll be able to view updates here as the project progresses.
