Eric Lim, Queenstown Multicultural Festival
Celebrating our community’s rich diversity, Queenstown’s Multicultural Festival delighted the crowds for a fourth time in March 2026.
We spoke with Queenstown Multicultural Festival Trust chair and organiser Eric Lim about the passion that continues to drive his commitment to this much‑loved community event.
Thanks to the support of many funders and QLDC’s Welcoming Communities programme, the festival is the result of many months of dedication and hard work by a small team of volunteers.
Importance of Queenstown Multicultural Festival
The Queenstown Multicultural Festival is all about bringing people together. From music and dance to food and stories from around the world, it’s a chance to celebrate the cultures that make our district such a special place to live.
Held in March 2026 on Aotearoa New Zealand Race Relations Day, the festival invites people to connect, listen and learn from one another — and to enjoy the richness of our diverse communities.
Queenstown Lakes Community Housing Trust
