2026 ANZAC Day services in Queenstown Lakes
ANZAC Day services are being held across the district, Saturday 25 April 2026.
This weekend marks 110 years since the first ANZAC Day service was held to honour those who landed at Gallipoli.

Arrowtown
10.00am parade from Arrowtown Hall to Cenotaph on Durham Street.
If the weather is wet, the service will be held in Arrowtown Hall.

Arthurs Point
Bagpipes and national anthem on Edith Cavell Bridge at 12.00pm.
Glenorchy
Remembrance service from 9.30am at the war memorial by Glenorchy Hall.
Morning tea held inside the hall afterwards (please bring a plate).

Kingston
10.00am service held at Athol Memorial Hall.
Earlier service on Thursday 23 April at Garston School.

Lake Hāwea
Dawn service on Lake Hāwea Dam at 7.00am.
ANZAC Day Breakfast at Lake Hāwea Community Centre following the service.
Paid entry for the breakfast, bookings essential by Thursday 23 April.

Queenstown
Dawn service at Memorial Gates located on Marine Parade from 6.30am.
Followed by a march to Queenstown Memorial Centre where wreaths will be laid.
Wānaka
7.00am dawn service on edge of Lake Wānaka, adjacent to town centre.
7.30am breakfast at Lake Wānaka Centre, hosted by Wānaka & Districts Lion Club and Upper Clutha Lions Club.
11.00am wreath laying ceremony on Chalmers Street.
