About the project
The carpark upgrade works will improve the layout of the area, helping to manage congestion during peak periods. The project also involves the installation of a new stormwater system, providing environmental benefits and protecting the water quality of Lake Whakatipu.
The work involved earthworks, drainage and service installation, asphalt and chip seal surfacing, associated pavement and landscaping.
Physical works commenced early August 2024, with completion early December 2024.
