Please note: A number of QLDC’s online services will be offline tonight (Friday 23 October) at 9.00pm for an estimated 30 to 60 minutes, due to an update to our internet connection.

Services affected by the outage include eDocs, Infringement Waivers and our GIS mapping systems.  We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Council contractors undertake vegetation control across the district, applying herbicides to pest plants and unwanted weed growth in footpaths and on road shoulders.

This work is carried out in both urban and rural areas, with Tordon Brushkiller and Hlyphosate used.

Join our No Spray Register

If you don't want herbicides applied to the road frontage outside your property, you can request to be added to our No Spray Register. Those currently on the No Spray Register can also request to be removed.

One condition of being added to the No Spray Register is that you must agree to take over the control of noxious weeds in your road frontage, including:

  • the verge,

  • footpath,

  • the kerb and channel area of the carriageway.

If you do not control the weeds in the road frontage of your property, our contractors will resume spraying.

Weekly Spray Reports

We post a Weekly Spray Report every Friday morning which details anticipated areas where spraying will occur during the following week. You'll find the latest report below:
