Wānaka Recreation Centre 10 year anniversary
Wānaka Recreation Centre was opened on 7 July 2016 which means we're celebrating 10 years!
The community has supported WRC to the tune of two million visits since opening, which is incredible.
To celebrate the occasion, we're organising a big community event to take place on 13 February 2027, a video campaign to highlight some of the stories of the centre, and a sales promotion for any membership or visit passes purchased in the next month.

Community celebration event — 13 February 2027
A major community celebration event is planned for Saturday, 13 February 2027, marking the centrepiece of the 10-year anniversary campaign. The event will be a full community day open to members, sports clubs, families and the wider Wānaka public, with a programme designed to showcase the breadth of activity and community life that has defined the centre over the past decade.
