Statement from Stephen Brent

I ran for Council to support our community to continue to thrive and I am thrilled to now be an elected Councillor. Living here since 2005 and working as a commercial solicitor, I feel that I understand local needs and challenges. As Chair of the 45South Community Foundation and former Chair of the Queenstown Lakes Community Housing Trust, I have a solid record of successful, high level community service.  Our district faces challenges and I believe I possess the experience, skills, and passion to make a meaningful difference. I am practical, commercially minded, and since 2005, have committed to fostering a resilient community through my professional and volunteer work. I am really looking forward to working for our community.
