Statement from Simon Telfer
I’ve had the privilege of chairing the Community Board since 2022 and I'm committed to nurturing an inclusive and progressive town and surrounds.
Particular areas of focus for me include developing more sports fields and facilities, acting as a guardian for our beautiful natural environment, people being at the heart of our town centre and supporting our volunteer community. I remain a strong advocate for people on bikes and evolving our network of shared paths.
I live in Wānaka with Jo Shearer and our two daughters who attend Mt Aspiring College. Professionally I’m a governance professional, acting as a director or advisor to many businesses.
