Statement

I was born in Winton but later lived and worked in the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Italy and the Czech Republic. This has given me experience of how local issues like ours can be dealt with.  

I want the district to thrive, but not at the expense of locals and rate-payers. It is well understood that you can never build your way out of congestion with more roads.  The road to no-where is an eyesore and a waste of our money.  We are at risk of killing what makes Queenstown beautiful and once it is gone it cannot be gotten back. I plan to reduce congestion without building more roads and without pushing you out of your cars.  Spending must be kept within the rate of inflation.  We need to focus more on the basics and less on vanity projects.
