Statement

Let’s elect a mayor who can negotiate effectively with central government and improve council performance at home.

I am a political mayoral candidate, deeply familiar with Wellington, capable of leveraging decades of experience to deliver on healthcare, infrastructure funding, roading and ratepayer liability for development failings.

I stand for rates discipline, rebuilding trust and prioritising information sharing. I want wastewater done right – environment comes first - a clear path on airport services, transport improvements and alternatives to new council premises. I will safeguard neighbourhoods for local communities by encouraging housing estates to match demand for residential homes – not tourism accommodation. I will insist on open competitive processes to ensure integrity and fairness in council contracts.

New leadership is needed to embrace new goals, raise the bar and get improved results. Elect a new leader with the skills to make a difference. Check out  www.nikkiddle.com and “Tick Nik”.
