Statement
BSc (Biology), Dip. Teaching
I’m a second-term councillor, newly based in Wānaka after 24 years in Glenorchy - which will always be home.
I studied ecology and have spent the past decade deepening my understanding of resource management, law, and good governance - through my volunteer work with Aotearoa Water Action and my role on Council.
I bring a track record of strong, principled, proactive governance, and I’m committed to keeping communities informed and involved. After two terms, I know how to navigate local government, anticipate the pitfalls, and - with support around the table - lift both our governance and what we deliver.
Looking ahead, our district faces urgent and complex challenges. I want QLDC to tackle them with our communities and for our communities - always with a focus on affordability (especially for those doing it toughest) and the health of our natural systems.
Please keep speaking up!
