Statement
As Councillor and Deputy Mayor, I’m involved every day in the issues that shape and impact our community. I’ve consistently stood up for Upper-Clutha—listening, engaging, and pushing for what matters.
I’m committed to future-focused planning that supports good growth while protecting what makes Wānaka special. That means better transport, strong infrastructure, accessible services, great public spaces and facilities, and making sure our community has a real voice in what’s next.
With an extensive background in local government and planning—including development planning, parks and reserves and infrastructure —I bring practical experience and a collaborative approach to the Council table.
Wānaka has been home for 22 years. My wife Kate and I are raising our daughter here, and like many locals, we want to see this place thrive. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved, but there’s more to do—and I’m keen to keep doing the mahi for our community.
