Intention to reset 2026/2027 Sports, Halls & Libraries annual charge

The Council intends to reset this rate by resolution at its meeting on 12 November 2026.

Finance Calculate

Pursuant to section 119 of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002 Queenstown Lakes District Council gives notice of the intention to reset the Sports, Halls & Libraries Annual Charge for 2026/2027.

The Sports, Halls & Libraries Annual charge adopted by Council as part of the rates resolution on 25 June 2026 contained a typographical error to the Primary Industry differential category.   The error does not impact the total rates requirement adopted and will not increase the amount of rates assessed to any rating unit.  Council intends to reset the rate to correct the typographical error and to ensure the consequent revenue shortfall is not borne by Council.
